Running

Crazy summer this year, isn’t it? However. Like always I’am running three times a week. But now I feel like a professional runner because since yesterday I am well equipped. My new Polar RS300X combined with the G1 gives me all informationen I need. It gives a kick for motivation.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year 2010

Wish you all the best!

Goodbye Vista - Hello 7

Yesterday I installed Windows 7. I was quite happy with Vista but I love upgrading ;-) Everything works fine. One or two minor issues but I am certain to solve them within the next days.

Now trying, testing & verifying.

First holidays

Ocober 2009. Now we are nearly 7 months in Switzerland. I have to say that there is not one reason to regret our decision.  I really like my job and life is a pleasure here. Yes still hard work sometimes but so many opportunities and most of the time very well weather. But now it is time to hold on for 2 weeks, enjoy the beautiness of Portugal and clear up our minds.

Depeche Mode in Berlin

Back from Berlin and I have to say, Depeche Mode played an absolutly perfect concert. That was really “Sounds of the universe”. 68.000 people partying all the time. The impression will last for a while, maybe forever.

Unfortunately the following days were rain, rain, rain and rain. First time after 20 years that I had bad weather in Berlin during visiting the own.

Munich, Bern & Berlin

Dear all

Munich was phantastic. I am always suprised about the beauty of this town. Football was perfect, too. More or less for both of us because of the glory players from Karlsruhe. Thank you!

Now back in Bern I still love living here. Sun is shining, life is easy and people are very friendly.

Next two weeks are very busy but Berlin we are comming! Watching Depeche Mode playing in the Olympiastadion should be a great pleasure. Hopefully Dave Gahan has recoverd until then. But it looks so.

Munich

Today we will start for a 3 day trip to Munich. Tomorrow we will watch FC Bayern Munich vs VFB Stuttgart. Issue is that my wife is a VFB supporter and I am a FCB supporter. ;-)

Some first thoughts

Now we are in Bern for 3 weeks. It is wonderful to live here and the landscape is beautiful. All my colleagues are very polite to me. I do not feel like a stranger though I am one - definitely.

Everyday it is easier for me to understand the idiom spoken in Bern area. The only thing that is very exhausting is running compared with Duesseldorf. In Duesseldorf our circuit was quite flat. In Herrenschwanden it is really the opposite. Very exhausting.

Swisscom

Today I am going to start my new job at Swisscom. I am very curious about everything.

Fortunately we finished most of the work in our new home and just a minor rest is waiting to be done in the following days/weeks.

Hope weather will be better.
